Assessment, learning and teaching in higher education

New half-day interactive presentation: ‘Teaching in the recession’

Teaching in the recession 2In the UK, and in many other countries, higher education is already being ’squeezed’ and faces the prospect of very significant and ongoing reductions in funding in the next few years. There is, however, a lot we can do to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment in higher education without spending more money or time. We can indeed make the money and time we already have work better for students – and for ourselves.
This half-day interactive presentation aims to help participants to think through ways they can make their teaching, feedback and assessment better-tuned to how students learn. For a draft programme for the half-day session, please download here: Teaching in the recession (639). If you would like me to run this for you, please email me – link at the top left of each page of this site.
